Alexander is a certified Barton tutor, the owner of Step Forward Tutoring, living with his wife and two sons in Arizona. Having grown up dyslexic himself, Alexander is closely acquainted with the challenges his students face in reading and spelling, as well as being equipped with the tools they need to overcome them. He has a knack for teaching various ages, and has achieved great success with the effectiveness of the Barton Reading and Spelling System, guiding students from defeatedly dragging their feet, to becoming solid readers by the end of the course. He has been tutoring full time with the Barton System since 2019. Alex also loves the Classics, walking, and gardening.
Johanna is a certified Barton tutor who has been teaching for five years. Seeing students go from not being able to read and spell, to competently doing both is so rewarding for her, and makes her smile. She is blessed to be able to play a part in children’s lives and make a lasting change, giving them the keys to unlock a whole new world–and that’s why she does it. She loves dancing, dreaming, hanging out with her husband and friends, as well as just about anything creative.
Kaelyn is a trained and certified Barton tutor. She enjoys children and understands the struggle of reading and spelling, having grown up dyslexic herself, but also the hope of overcoming. She delights in the privilege of seeing young minds become more enthusiastic to the world of reading and learning. Among other things, Kaelyn loves skiing, hiking, and reading.
